A GLIMPSE AT THE ONGOING XEND FINANCE TESTNET

The ongoing xend finance incentivized testnet has been filled with thrilling activities and lots of creativity as well as apt brainstorming. The desire to be at the top of the leaderboard has even deepened the competitiveness among participants of the testnet. According to Abafor Chima, CTO of Xend Finance, “One of our main goals is to create a product that can be easily used by those that have zero to minimal knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Those people located in third world countries that have unstable currencies stand to benefit the most from Xend Finance”. The aim of the testnet is to get feedback from users of the platform for further improvement of the platform and a better user experience.

WEEK ONE OF THE TESTNET

The first week of the testnet saw over 500 users from 50 countries including Nigeria, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, USA, India and others take part in the testnet. This statistics alone proves that Xend Finance can scale internationally. The weekly competition for the first week was for users to get more retweets of their tweet with the hashtag #xendfinance and #DeFi. The winner for the first weekly competition was @iaminiekanem while the supporter of the week was @fadkhullah . The leader board was competitive with a difference of 525 points between the first six positions.

WEEK TWO OF THE TESTNET

The second week of the testnet saw a rise in the number of users, with users from Russia topping the chart of users from different countries of the world. The weekly competition for the second week was for users to be more active in the telegram community activities and the winner of the second weekly competition was @xamborg1 while the supporter of the week was @sorbottin.

WEEK THREE

The third week of the testnet saw a splendid rise in the number of new members of the telegram and twitter communities with over 500 new members from different countries. The weekly competition for the third week was for users to invite new members to the telegram community while the leaderboard continued to see massive points being gained by users with @xamborg1 leading with a massive 8,330 points.

WEEK FOUR

The fourth and final week of the testnet is thrilling with new updates to the platform and an increased competition among users, to finish at the top of the leaderboard. The weekly activity for the fourth week which ends on the 15th of January is quite technical, as users are to create a testimonial video about Xend Finance showing the user, the Xend Testnet and user’s opinions about Xend Finance Testnet. During the course of the testnet, many suggestions have been made while errors and faults were also detected by users, hence fulfilling the aim of the testnet which is to test and improve the platform for user satisfaction. Suggestions by users which have been implemented include Integrating night mode on the platform, Availability of other languages like Chinese, Indonesian and Russian, Graphical summary of users’ holdings and savings, Summary of active and completed cycles as well as corrected typographical errors and an improved speed of the platform. Most of these suggestions and corrections have been implemented, resulting in a smooth running of the platform and an improved user experience.
